Family Abuse Center
In this cell, volunteers will come and play with the kids at the shelter, assist the staff with organizing things, and whatever they have for us to do!
**Volunteer orientation required: volunteers meet with the coordinator to talk about the center and Covid-19 Vaccine required

Mentoring Alliance
Mentoring Alliance is a Christ-centered, multi-ethnic ministry serving children and families in Waco. They connect people in the community to provide after-school programs and dedicated mentoring relationships. This unique cell is both a special cell and a regular one! You can join this cell either as a mentor to kids from kindergarten to 10th grade or as a volunteer for their after-school program. Mentors must be able to provide their own transportation, meeting twice a month with their mentee. However, carpooling may be available for after-school program volunteers.

**Note: A mentor/volunteer application is required. There will also be a one-hour orientation before you begin! You will also earn service hours whether you choose to serve as a mentor or a volunteer.
Volunteering Times:
Mentors: Twice a month, based on your schedule
Volunteers: Monday through Friday from 3-6pm

waco center for youth
Waco Center for Youth is located at 3501 N. 19 th Street and is a residential treatment facility that serves teen-agers, ages 13 through 17, with emotional difficulties and/or behavioral problems. The mission of Waco Center for Youth is "to give each youth a chance for change" by providing comprehensive psychiatric residential treatment services to emotionally disturbed adolescents of the state of Texas.
**Volunteer orientation is required with fingerprinting process
Open Monday-Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM

Talitha Koum Institute
Talitha Koum Institute prioritizes the mental health of children that have been exposed to toxic stress. They focus on the brain development of at-risk children from infants- 5years old.
Volunteers will help with projects with their sensory playground, maintain their donations and the cleanliness of their nurseries to create a safe environment for the children.
A separate application is needed for volunteers interested in working directly with children.
**An orientation must be attended (Saturdays ~10am) and a background check/fingerprint (if volunteering with the children)

Mon-thur 8am - 5pm
